Paints:	This is Revell's CH47 Chinook in 1/144 scale. Overall it is a nice kit. Fit is very good except for the windows. The panel lines were nicely engraved, witch is quite important considering the not very interesting painting scheme. The base is a simple picture frame and plasticard painted to represent a segment of an airfield. Painting was done with tamiya acrylics and decals are from the kit.

Coments:
1) The kit: Injection molded, optional parts for short and large sponsons with and without MAD, 2 clear canopies with and without ice/FOD screen and two options of tail rotor, with 5 or 6 blades. Decals for 3 different aircrafts: Belgian Air Force " Black Beauty" 2001; Seaking HAR Mk5 of the 771 Squadron, Royal Navy, 2005; Seaking HAS Mk5 of the 814 Squadron, Royal Navy, 1991.
The overall fit of the kit is very good, the decals are also fantastic, in perfect register, and the result is one of three colorfull helicopters. Bellow are photos of the parts of the kit, the instructions and decals:

 2) Contruction: I decided to build the aircraft bellow:

2.1) Display:In order to show the model, i decided to replicate the flight deck of a British Aircraft Carrier. I used the deck markings provided by the excelent HMS Illustrious from Airfix in 1/350 scale as a painting guide:

Using a small picture frame and plasticard, i tried to replicate de flight deck markings, with the result bellow:

Comments: When i first saw this  kit i thought it would make a nice vignette. What a better scene for a pilot then inside a cockpit? I started by building the cockpit out of the box, just adding the seat belts from a photo-etched set made by a local manufacturer called DR design. However, when i started the figures i got very disapointed by the out-of-scale moulding of the pilots. At the and, i just built one of the three figures inside the box, a cabin commander holding a gun. Now i have the cockpit just as a small vignette with no figures. Perhaps i would build the CH47 and use this cockpit instead of building another one.

I built the left one to place it with the cockpit as a combat set.

But, as you can see, the figure is out-of -scale. I decided not to build the pilots because it looked as a lost cause.
