This is Eduard's old 1/48 scale Fokker E3 finished as Ernst Udet machine back in 1916. Overall it is a nice kit if you consider the fact that was a limited run kit, with excellent photo etched parts produced back in 1994. However, if you compare it with the new release of the same model also from Eduard, the advantages of the new molds are obvious and the old one can be considered a collectors item. The poor plastic parts are not a major problem due to the quality of the photoetched parts and decals. It is not an easy kit, but most modelers can get a nice final result with patience and a few handy tools. I hope you like. I continue on my way to build more World War I Fokkers!

This is Classic Airframe's Gloster Meteor FR9 in 1/48 scale. Overall, it is a nice kit, with recessed panel lines and great resin details, specially the ejection seat. However, fit is poor around the wings, engine nacelles and jet intakes. Dry fitting is very important to get this model done. But, in the end, i was pleased with the result. This is not going to be my last meteor from this manufacturer. I have in my stash the T7, F4 and NF11. At least, now i have some experience to get this model into one piece! Painting was done as usual with Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics. Decals are from the box.

This is Amodel's La250 in 1/72 scale. This is another rare Soviet bird released by Amodel, a manufacturer that has a huge line of unusual subjects. The kits are of a short run kind, with flash and alignment problems. The manufacturer recommends the kits only to experienced modelers, but i must say that you need more patience then experience. Fit was difficult in most areas, surface is rough and panel lines were a little bit too soft, but if you want a La250, this is the only game in town and don't expect a Tamiya or Hasegawa release on this subject anytime soon. The model was built out of the box and painted with Tamiya acrylics. I re-scribed the hole kit after assembly so the panel lines would have a more constant aspect. Decals are ok, a bit too matt once displayed on the kit, but react well to setting solutions. It was a pleasure to get this kit done, and i hope you like it. There are more coming!

This is Amodel's Mig9 in 1/72 scale. This manufacturer has a huge line of unusual subjects, mostly soviet era aircraft. The kits are of a short run kind, with flash and alignment problems. The manufacturer recommends the kits only to experienced modelers, but i must say that you need more patience then experience. Fit is difficult in most areas and the surface is rough, but if you want something like a Mig9, this is the way to get it. The model was built out of the box, painted with Tamiya acrylics. Decals are ok, a bit too matt once displayed on the kit, but react well to setting solutions. It was a pleasure to get this kit done, and i even got a few more Amodel kits to my collection. I hope you like this one. There are more to come!
