Comments	This is ICM's 1/48 scale Royal Air Force personnel. I is a simple but very well done model from ICM. It adds a sense of proportion to aircraft models that is very interesting. Painting was done with Vallejo acrylics. It is highly recommended to anyone who wants to have some form of size comparison for a aircraft model from World War II until the early 50'ties.

Comments	This is Classic Airframe's Gloster Meteor FR9 in 1/48 scale. Overall, it is a nice kit, with recessed panel lines and great resin details, specially the ejection seat. However, fit is poor around the wings, engine nacelles and jet intakes. Dry fitting is very important to get this model done. But, in the end, i was pleased with the result. This is not going to be my last meteor from this manufacturer. I have in my stash the T7, F4 and NF11. At least, now i have some experience to get this model into one piece! Painting was done as usual with Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics. Decals are from the box.

Spacecraft vol.8: Apollo Columbia & Eagle

Comments	This is the old Revell's Apollo 11 kit. The molds go back to 1967, the reason why you see so many issues regarding accuracy. Actually, this kit is based probably in drawings and pictures from the Mk1 spacecraft, as the release date is very close to the Apollo 1 fire in January 1967. The Apollo program went to some extensive changes after that, and the spacecraft that went to the moon in July 1969 was a far more improved one with several internal and external differences. Dragon released a 1/72 scale kit that is much more accurate, but i wanted to build this one due to nostalgic feelings. I built this kit when i was a kid and played with it for several years. Now i had the chance to build it once again, with more detail and experience. I used gold metal foil for the landing stage of the LEM. The rest of the kit was painted with Tamiya acrylics and Alclad II metal colors. I created a docking probe for the command module and two bases for the Columbia spacecraft. Everything was done very simple, just like the kit. It was built to honor the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, my simple tribute to one of mankind's greatest adventures.

Comments	This is Revell's 1/24 scale Ford 1937 built as a tuned car. Construction was done out of the box, using most of the kit parts. I lowered the front suspension and painted it with my own color scheme. Fit is very good and overall detail is fantastic. I guess the last car i built was some 20 years ago. This was a fun project. I did not worried about anything else then the final look. I will have to improve my skills on painting, as the final result did not reached the necessary quality for a car. Lets see what i can do on the next one!

Comments:The Tupolev Tu-2 (development names ANT-58 and 103; NATO reporting name Bat) was a twin-engine Soviet high-speed daylight and frontline (SDB and FB) bomber aircraft of World War II vintage. The Tu-2 was tailored to meet a requirement for a high-speed bomber or dive-bomber, with a large internal bombload, and speed similar to that of a single-seat fighter. Designed to challenge the German Junkers Ju 88, the Tu-2 proved comparable, and was produced in torpedo, interceptor and reconnaissance versions. The Tu-2 was one of the outstanding combat aircraft of World War II and it played a key role in the Red Army's final offensives.

Comments: The landing craft, vehicle, personnel (LCVP) or Higgins boat was a landing craft used extensively in amphibious landings in World War II. The craft was designed by Andrew Higgins based on boats made for operating in swamps and marshes. More than 23,358 were built, by Higgins Industries and licensees. Typically constructed from plywood, this shallow-draft, barge-like boat could ferry a roughly platoon-sized complement of 36 men to shore at 9 knots (17 km/h). Men generally entered the boat by climbing down a cargo net hung from the side of their troop transport; they exited by charging down the boat's lowered bow ramp. Taking the last letter of the LCVP designation, sailors often nicknamed the Higgins Boat the "Papa Boat" or "Peter Boat" to differentiate it from other landing craft such as the LCU and the LCM, with the LCM being called the "Mike Boat.
