I got this bust without box or instructions. So i don't know the manufacturer or any other detail about it. I painted it with Vallejo acrylics to represent a splinter fall camouflage. Fit and detail are excellent . This suggests that the kit is from a major resin figure manufacturer.

Comments: The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger is an American interceptor aircraft that was built as part of the backbone of the United States Air Force's air defenses in the late 1950s. Entering service in 1956, its main purpose was to intercept invading Soviet bomber fleets during the Cold War. Designed and manufactured by Convair, 1,000 F-102s were built. A member of the Century Series, the F-102 was the first operational supersonic interceptor and delta-wing fighter of the USAF. It used an internal weapons bay to carry both guided missiles and rockets. As originally designed, it could not achieve supersonic flight until redesigned with area ruling. The F-102 replaced subsonic fighter types such as the Northrop F-89 Scorpion, and by the 1960s, it saw limited service in the Vietnam War in bomber escort and ground-attack roles. It was supplemented by McDonnell F-101 Voodoos and, later, by McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom IIs

This is another great kit from New Ware models. The model represents Alan Shepard's Redstone rocket and Mercury capsule on the first american flight into suborbital space. Fit of the parts is great and overall detail is fantastic. I painted it with Tamiya acrylics, covered the model with a coat of future and applied the decals that performed great. I can recommend highly this kit as one of the best resin models you can ever get!

The Dornier Do335 is one of those planes that has no military records, never saw full operational use, but is the subject of several books and has models in all major scales from top manufacturers. For me the reason is simple: it is a handsome bird!
Recently, Hong Kong Models released an 1/32 scale kit full of details. I thought of getting one to build showing engine detail, cockpit and more but the overall cost cancelled the project. Instead, i remembered this small scale Dragon kit with good detail that i already had in my collection. I decided to build it as prototype partially constructed, probably being refit, that was found abandoned at the edge of an airfield during the closing days of World War II. There are no extras in this construction. All detail was in the box. Painting was done with Tamiya and Acrylex with the metallic areas in Alclad II. The base was scratch built and also painted with Acrylex. |
